Operating globally, PulseLearning has operations in Ireland, the United States, and Canada. All locations, including remote work arrangements, will be considered for this role.
Role Description:
With relevant education and demonstrated senior experience, your agile leadership will ensure the delivery of exceptional learning solutions to clients around the globe. You are a charismatic leader who will build, grow, and optimize development, media, R&D, and professional services teams responsible for the execution of custom and non-custom content development. You will lead initiatives to build new IP and cutting-edge, creative learning solutions.
You have excellent client-facing abilities and are an agile team leader who will anticipate and leverage highly productive internal and external relationships. You will report directly to the Executive VP of Operations.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
•Successfully leading and growing a development team of instructional designers, multimedia developers, quality improvement professionals, and supporting staff in the creation of full lifecycle custom learning solutions
•Establishing and enhancing relationships with clients, sales team and other team members, partners, and key industry stakeholders worldwide, including partners and Global 1000 companies
•Adopting new industry best practices that will further improve the development process
•Ensuring that relevant instructional design methodologies are creative, optimized, and efficient
•Ensuring that instructional design, development, and media standards are innovative, relevant, and user-friendly
•Evaluating existing internal and external customer offerings to determine if they meet or exceed expectations
•Implementing improved tools and methodologies that will improve client delivery in a repeatable and/or cost-effective manner
•Evaluating strategic requirements of the development team and participating in the selection process and performance management
•Ensuring a continual increase in the average skill level and agility of the development team
•Leading the research and development to build IP and tools, and optimize funding and offerings
•Meeting financial and operational targets
•Aligning the development team with the core values, mission, vision, and growth strategy of the business
•Modeling high ethical standards and a commitment to excellence
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
•Masters’ degree in educational technology, computer science, business, marketing, engineering, communications, or a related field
•Demonstrated experience planning and managing complex professional development projects and teams
•Demonstrated knowledge and competency in learning and development best practices
•Leadership agility and proven ability to grow strong client and team relationships in a virtual environment
•Broad knowledge base of current educational technology and learning theory
•Demonstrated success leading in highly competitive markets, delivering on expectations for growth, and profitability in high-growth, mid-size, or transitional-size companies
•Demonstrated experience within the eLearning, High Tech, Life Sciences, Defense, Retail, Health Care, Hospitality, and/or Finance industries
•Strong financial acumen
•Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles through various training methodologies and learning solutions
•Outstanding presentation, communication, and analytical skills
•Ability to “engage and see” and be a gifted solutions creator
•Exceptional drive and determination coupled with passion for winning and excellence
•Willingness to travel internationally
